YMCA Camp Marston and Raintree ranch Full Time Staff

Executive Director

Tom Madeyski

Tom has been Executive director of the San Diego YMCA camps since 1990, and has 28 years full-time experience. he is a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Recreation Administration. Tom, his wife Kathi and two daughters reside at YMCA camp Marston

Associate Executive Director:

Darin Borgstadter

Darin has been working for the Resident Camping branch for over fourteen years. Originally from the small town of Ellsworth Kansas. He has been in the camping field for over 15 years. He earned his B.S. from Kansas State University and has been working with kids ever since.

summer and family camp Program Director:

Simon Hansen

Simon has been around Camp since 1996. He now lives there with his lovely wife Kymm. He thinks camp is cool, camp is sweet and it can't be beat. Simon takes care of Year Round Groups and the Summer program at Camp Marston. His favorite things at Camp are hiking in the forest, canoeing on the lake and singing those crazy camp songs - I wish I was a buzzard!!

Groups Program Director

Laura Pauli

Starting in April 2010, Laura is the most recent addition to the full time staff. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Laura has had the privilege to work at Y camps across the country including Washington, New York, Arizona, and now California. Laura heads up the weekend groups at Camp Marston during the school year and has the privileged to oversee the awesome campers, staff and horses at Raintree Ranch in the summer. She enjoys camp because of the fresh mountain air, wildlife watching, stars, friends, games, singing!

Food Service Director:

Terry Parrish

Terry has all the skills needed to provide you with a quality dining experience. She is committed to high quality food. Terry has been with us for over five years now and her attention to detail and helpful attitude are present wherever she goes.

Front Office Specialist:

Lynne Murphy:

Since 2010, Lynne has been in our front office bringing her vast experience of administration and customer service to Camp. She is active with registrations, groups, family camp and eBlasts support. A resident of Julian, she grew to love the mountain fresh air and seasons as a graduate of Northern Arizona University in Journalism. Lynne and her husband share their little piece of paradise with their beloved family of dogs, cats, donkeys and horse. When not at ‘home on the range’, they enjoy setting up camp in their RV near a scenic lake, river or Pacific Ocean.
