Summer Jobs at YMCA Raintree Ranch
Raintree Ranch offers a family atmosphere where you can really get to know your kids and fellow staff. At Raintree it is all about the horses! Campers come to Raintree Ranch to learn to ride and care for horses. They spend half the day with the horses and half doing traditional camp activities. You can get the best of both worlds as a staff at YMCA Raintree Ranch!

General Camp Counselor – This position is where the action is. Working directly with the kids in your cabin you will learn leadership skills and responsibility while having the time of your life. Working with a Co-counselor you will be responsible for 10 children (average). Your main job is general cabin
| supervision and teaching skill clinics. You could be belaying at the climbing tower, teaching drama class and going on a nature hike one week. Playing basketball, helping at boating and playing cricket the next. While you are here you will meet people from other countries and cultures and make friends with some really great people. Leadership Positions:
Raintree Coordinator- This position is the key leader for our summer horseback riding camp. This person must be knowledgeable about horses and Program activities. They will supervise six cabins of kids and staff. They write schedules and run evening activities. They will work closely with the head wrangler to help run the program. This position requires good judgment and decision-making skills.
Raintree assistant – This person is responsible for running the “program side”

of Raintree Ranch. This position works closely with the Raintree coordinator and Marston Coordinators to schedule activities and games. Supervises staff members, deals with behavior problems, and dispenses medications. Organizational skills are a must in this position. |
Head Wrangler – This person is primarily responsible for the riding program. They write the wrangler schedule, supervise trail rides and arena operations. They are responsible for maintaining all the tack and saddles, as well as feeding and caring for the horses in conjunction with the Raintree coordinator. Must be able to attend and pass the AAHS instructor training held prior to start of camp. (Provided by camp)
LIT / CA Coordinator – This position is responsible for implementing our leadership programs for junior staff. They should be creative, motivating, responsible, and able to multi-task. They will help the junior staff fulfill their responsibilities in a caring and empowering way.
